What a combination of destinations for a gourmet tour, Good Food Ireland Style. During this fabulous seven night tour, see for yourself the unique differences of the regions in the topmost corner of Ireland – from food specialties, to history, politics, culture, music and lifestyle.

These are simply ideas to inspire you. This is just a suggested itinerary and you can switch it up any way you want, more or less meals, different cities and/or sightseeing based on your group or organization’s interests. Ireland – A Gourmet Tour of City and Coast Itinerary

DAY 2 DUBLIN: Today, visit the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin’s no.1 tourist attraction and have lunch in Gilroy’s Restaurant after your tour. Enjoy whiskey tasting at the Celtic Whiskey Store sampling Ireland’s premier whiskies. This evening, dine in award winning Toscana Italian Restaurant, run by a husband and wife team who grow their own fresh produce for the menu. While in Dublin, your group may also like to visit Trinity College and the Book of Kells, Dublin Castle, or St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Hotel Name: Brooks Hotel. (B/L/D)DAY 1 ARRIVE IN DUBLIN, IRELAND: Arrive Dublin where you are met by your driver/guide. Brooks Hotel is tucked away in a small side street in Dublin’s city center. This convenient boutique hotel provides stunning culinary accommodation. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. This evening, enjoy dinner in Francesca’s Restaurant located in the hotel. DAY 3 DUBLIN / BELFAST: After breakfast travel north towards Belfast, an iconic city noted for its historical importance and political contributions to world affairs. Your group may like to include stops at the prehistoric monument in Newgrange, or St. Patrick’s Centre in Downpatrick. Onwards to Belfast. The Europa Hotel has made a serious commitment to using local suppliers for food. Fine Irish meats and fish, local breads, yogurts, and other locally sourced ingredients go across the board. This evening, travel to Newtownards for dinner at the superlative restaurant or casual bistro at Balloo House, returning later to Belfast. Hotel Name: Europa Hotel. (B/D)

DAY 4 BELFAST / GIANT’S CAUSEWAY / DERRY / DONNEGAL: Spend the morning sightseeing in Belfast. Lots of choices for your group, including the Titanic Experience, Game of Thrones Tour, and the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum. This afternoon, depart Belfast and journey to the Giants Causeway and take in the natural beauty of the northern coast. Afterwards, head northwest towards Donegal, stopping off in Castledawson at Ditty’s Home Bakery and Coffee Shop to meet Master Baker, Robert Ditty and have lunch. Onward to County Donegal and Harvey’s Point Hotel. Arrival here is always greeted with warm smiles from staff, efficient check-in and suggestion of tea or coffee in the delightful lounge. DAY 5 DONEGAL / SLIGO / MAYO: After breakfast, depart and enjoy the magnificent scenery as you travel through County Donegal and head south-west and stop for lunch at Hargadon’s traditional Irish pub in Sligo Town. Afterwards, on to Mayo to beautiful Mount Falcon, a country house on its own estate, to enjoy dinner and overnight. Hotel Name: Mount Falcon. (B/L/D)

DAY 6 MAYO / CONNEMARA: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning, and time to stroll the grounds of Mount Falcon. Later, depart and travel the short distance to Castlebar where you pause for lunch at Café Rua and visit to the Rua food shop and deli. Drive through the majestic scenery of Connemara, through Louisburgh, Lenane and Ashleigh Waterfalls. Check into Connemara Coast Hotel. Located right on the coast of Connemara, with breathtaking ocean views. Enjoy a stroll by the sea before or after dinner. Hotel Name: Connemara Coast Hotel. (B/L/D)

DAY 7 CONNEMARA / GALWAY / CONNEMARA: After breakfast at Connemara Coast Hotel, head to the Connemara Smokehouse & Visitor Centre and experience traditional fish smoking methods at this artisan production. This afternoon, enjoy some free time in Galway. Later, return to Connemara Coast Hotel for overnight and dinner. Hotel Name: Connemara Coast Hotel. (B/D)

DAY 8 CONNEMARA / DUBLIN: Today, travel across country and return to Dublin. On arrival, check in to the the Shelbourne Hotel, one of Dublin’s great iconic buildings. Its corridors and rooms also house some our most successful artists, past and present. Those same corridors also echo with the memories full of history and glamour. The location is stunning, the staff are gracious and the food in the restaurants and bars is locally sourced, organic, where possible and cooked with love.
