Itinerary

DAY 1 USA / DUBLIN: Depart from Chicago on your overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland.

DAY 2 ARRIVE IN DUBLIN / GALWAY: Welcome to Ireland. After clearing customs, you will be met by your professional driver/guide in the arrival’s hall, and shortly afterwards, begin your journey towards Galway. Arrive in Galway, a popular seaside destination and a buzzing cosmopolitan center with colorful shops and a busy café and bar culture. Enjoy a panoramic tour before checking in to your hotel. Set on Eyre Square, the Hotel Meyrick is ideally located in the heart of Galway City and only a 5-minute walk from the pedestrian-only Shop Street. Tonight, enjoy dinner in your hotel. (D)

DAY 3 CONNEMARA EXCURSION: After breakfast, depart on a full-day excursion in Connemara. Whitewashed cottages are scattered over a land of rocky mountains, sparkling brooks and rivers. Onwards to Clifden for free time to enjoy lunch. Visit the beautiful Kylemore Abbey, a castellated neo-Gothic mansion, occupied since 1920 by the Irish Benedictine community of Nuns. Enjoy some free time in this picturesque area before departing and returning to Galway for overnight. (B)

DAY 4 GALWAY / RATHBAUN /CLIFFS OF MOHER / BUNRATTY: After breakfast in your hotel, depart from Galway and head towards Bunratty. Pause at Rathbaun Farm, watch the farmer maneuver his flock with the help of a sheep dog. Then, enjoy a traditional tea in the 150-year-old thatched farmhouse. Afterwards, travel on to the Cliffs of Moher, rising 700 feet above the pounding Atlantic waves. Continue to Bunratty and your hotel located across from Bunratty Castle. This evening enjoy a Medieval Castle Banquet in Bunratty Castle. (B/D)

DAY 5 BUNRATTY / DINGLE / KILLARNEY: After breakfast, depart from Bunratty and begin your journey towards Killarney. Along the way, head out to the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. This peninsula is a Gaeltacht, a unique area where the Irish language is preserved. There is time to explore the town of Dingle, a colorful fishing port. Afterwards, continue to bustling Killarney. The town on the lakes is famous for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere, full of what the Irish call “craic!” – Gaelic for fun. Enjoy dinner in your hotel. (B/D)

DAY 6 RING OF KERRY EXCURSION: Enjoy breakfast in your hotel. Travel the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as The Ring of Kerry. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical places in all Ireland. Here mountains, valleys, lakes, and sea blend into a landscape that is often breathtaking beyond words. A number of stops will allow you to marvel at the spectacular scenery; walk around the colorful village of Sneem and pause at Moll’s Gap for amazing views of the Lakes of Killarney. Later, return to Killarney where the rest of your day is free. (B)

DAY 7 KILLARNEY / BLARNEY / MIDLETON / DUBLIN: After breakfast in your hotel, depart Killarney and make your way towards Dublin. Your first stop today will be to visit to Blarney Castle with its magical stone that gives the gift of eloquence for a kiss. There is time to stop at Blarney Woollen Mills to shop before continuing to the Old Midleton Distillery, home of Jameson Irish Whiskey, a Local Specialty, and taste the triple-distilled, twice-as-smooth whiskey. Onwards to Dublin for dinner and overnight. (B/D)

DAY 8 DUBLIN / GAME DAY: Enjoy breakfast in your hotel. This afternoon meet in the hotel lobby for your transfer to the Aviva Stadium. Enjoy the Game! A return coach transfer is also included. This evening, you are free in Dublin. (B)

DAY 9 DUBLIN: After breakfast, depart on a panoramic city tour, introducing Dublin’s grand architectural treasures, beautiful Georgian squares and history stretching back more than 1,000 years. Afterwards, the remainder of your day is free to explore Dublin at your own pace. (B)

DAY 10 DUBLIN / USA: After breakfast, bid farewell to Ireland as transfers begin to Dublin airport, where after check-in you will have plenty of time for your last-minute duty-free shopping. Your flight to the US arrives the same day. Have a safe journey! (B)
