MAY 3 – USA / LONDON: Fly transatlantic overnight from the USA to London, England. Dinner is served, and in-flight entertainment is provided.
MAY 4 – ARRIVE LONDON: Arrival in London, meet with your local guide and shortly afterwards depart on a half-day sightseeing tour of London. Afterwards, check in to your London hotel and enjoy some free time to relax. This evening, enjoy dinner in a local restaurant within walking distance of your hotel. (D)
MAY 5 – LONDON & WEST END: After breakfast, head out on a full day sightseeing tour of the City of London. You will visit the Tower of London, where the Beefeaters guard the dazzling Crown Jewels, and where you will gain excellent views of Tower Bridge from the Medieval Palace. Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London in 1666. Hear how the landmark survived the WWII Blitz, study the cathedral’s magnificent dome, and view the tombs of some of England’s most renowned leaders like Sir Winston Churchill and Lord Nelson. Admire the outside views of Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard (if available). This evening, enjoy a West End show (theatre and show to be advised). Overnight in London. (B)
MAY 6 – EXCURSION TO STRATFORD-UPON-AVON & OXFORD: After breakfast, meet with your tour manager and depart on a full day excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford. On arrival in Stratford-upon-Avon, pause to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace, a restored 16th-century half-timbered house where it is believed he was born in 1564 and spent his childhood years. Enjoy a special talk during your visit. Then on to Oxford, home to England’s oldest university, where you enjoy a walking tour and entrance to Magdalen College. Afterwards, return to London for overnight. (B)
MAY 7 – INDEPENDENT LONDON: Enjoy breakfast in your hotel. Today, you are free to explore London at your own pace. Use the included Oyster Card for unlimited use on London tubes and buses. This evening, independently make your own way to a West End theatre where you enjoy a show (theatre and show to be advised). Overnight in London. (B)
MAY 8 – WINDSOR & AFTERNOON TEA CRUISE: Enjoy breakfast. Depart from London and make your way towards Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world. Subject to opening restrictions, you may see the State Apartments, St. George’s Chapel, and Queen Mary’s Doll’s House. Afterwards, return to London and depart on an afternoon tea cruise on the river Thames. Experience the quintessential British tradition of afternoon tea while enjoying breathtaking views along the River Thames. Glide past London’s iconic landmarks as you indulge in a selection of delicate sandwiches, savor scones with clotted cream and jam, and sip on a nice cup of tea. After your cruise, return to your hotel where the remainder of your afternoon and evening are free in London. (B/AT)
MAY 9 – WEST END MATINEE & FAREWELL DINNER: Enjoy breakfast in your hotel followed by some free time to explore. This afternoon, make your own way to a West End theatre where you enjoy a matinee show (theatre and show to be advised). This evening, meet in the hotel lobby and transfer to Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen located in the heart of Piccadilly for a wonderful farewell dinner. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel for overnight. (B/D)
MAY 10 – LONDON / USA: After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a private group transfer to your London airport for your return flight to the USA. (B)
